GRIND HOUSE BOXING IS REOPENING FRIDAY, MAY 1!!!
It’s been a long 4 weeks and let’s face it, we survived but it wasn’t easy. If you have suffered or know of someone that has suffered from this pandemic physically, financially or mentally, our hearts go out to you. This pandemic is not totally wiped clean, but the path toward forging our way through this pandemic is moving forward. The COVID-19 symptoms are declining and there’s no surge capacity in hospitals at the moment, therefore, the government has allowed fitness facilities to reopen with strict stipulations.
We at GRIND HOUSE BOXING, have always taken sanitation seriously and even more at a time like now. We are adopting the TENNESSEE PLEDGE which is a promise to create a safe environment for our members and our employees. Public safety is first and mandatory and we have added additional safety measures to meet those standards. This TENNESSEE PLEDGE has to be adopted at GRIND HOUSE and a commitment from you and I together is needed to help meet those demands and ensure everyone’s safety. The following procedures are put in place for reopening day:
*screening of employees upon entry to the gym daily
*screening of COVID-19 symptoms questions to employees
*during class doors may be open to improve ventilation
*signs will be posted to remind everyone of social distancing
*REQUIREMENT: members/employees must wash or sanitize hands upon entering and leaving the gym
*REQUIREMENT: members must clean the equipment after EACH USE of equipment used. Please take the industrial spray and spray WIPES ONLY (NOT EQUIPMENT) and wipe down all equipment used thoroughly
*REQUIREMENT: members must use only one boxing bag per class. Try to spread out when selecting a boxing bag as much as possible
*REQUIREMENT: shower room will be closed during this time
*REQUIREMENT: water fountain will be turned off during this time. Please bring water or water will be available to buy at the front desk. You can add the water bottle fee to your account
*REQUIREMENT: lockers will be closed. Please bring all items in a bag and sit in the lobby area or close to the wall area out of the walkways. A suggestion is to leave unnecessary items in your car.
*REQUIREMENT: 50% capacity for classes. The 50% capacity would be 32 people but we only have 24 bags. To ensure no one shares equipment, the class size limit will be 24 people (Don’t think we will have a problem... YET!) When overcrowding of classes becomes a factor, we will start an online pre-booking class schedule.
*LIMITED CLASS SCHEDULE to start the first phase of social distancing and deep cleaning after class. Additional classes will come when the ban is lifted.
*BOX-BURN-HIT is temporarily off the schedule because of shared equipment until the ban is lifted
*REQUIREMENT: if you are not feeling well, have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, experiencing a cough (not related to allergies), shortness of breath, sore throat, fever in last 48 hours or have a comprising immune system, we urge you to PLEASE STAY HOME and take care of your health first. Let’s work together and implement the CDC guidelines to stop the spread of germs.
Grind House billing cycle will resume starting May 1, 2020. The date you were previously billed on in the prior months, which is the day you signed up (your contract date), will resume on that date. A courtesy email is always sent out 7 days prior to your billing date notifying you of your upcoming draft. Please include this back into your monthly schedule of bills, as skipping the month of April could perhaps offset your accounting.
We are extremely excited to see you, workout, and most importantly, come back together and get our endurance up and laughter going. We promise we will uphold the TENNESSEE PLEDGE and we know that you will meet us in the middle as a team to ensure a safe connection again. We’ve miss you and can’t wait to see your smiling faces!!
